FAQ
When do you take newborn photos?
Newborn sessions are best done between day 7 and 20 when the baby is still very sleepy although it can be done up to 4 weeks of age. So please contact me as soon as bub is born to book in a time.
How long does a newborn session take?
Depending on your package, sessions normally take anywhere up to 3 hours so please don't feel stressed if everything is taking longer than you expect. This is totally normal and to be expected.
What should the baby wear?
Newborns photograph best in their natural state, so there’s no need to provide clothes. We will be shooting with a nappy on.
What do I need to bring to the session?
I have a large selection of blankets and props. However, if you have any props or special items you want included in the pictures please bring them along.
What should I wear for a family photography session?
In my experience I have found that big bold logos, dots and stripes tend to detract from the faces of your family and recommend these be avoided.
I recommend plain pastel coloured tops and bottoms. Colours that work well are white, cream, pastel blue, pastel grey. I suggest picking a colour scheme of one/two or three colours and getting the family to wear different pieces of clothing that fit into the colour scheme.
Do you provide cakes for cake smash photo sessions?
Unfortunately the customer needs to supply the cake due to concerns regarding allergies and dietary requirements. Please contact me prior to the shoot to see what cake design (e.g. colour scheme) is suitable.
